If financed legal assistance is required, we will assess your eligibility for legal aid. Depending on your monthly taxable income additional contributions may be involved.

If you are not eligible for legal aid, we can assist you with our affordable hourly rate.

Income limits and contributions (www.rvr.org)
The legal aid laws regarding the income limits, exempt capital and contribution amount for legal aid are determined for you. If your income or capital is higher than the maximum amount in the table, you will not be eligible for legal aid. The value of your home cannot be included when assessing your income. However, you can include all your saved balance through an endowment mortgage, which will be considered as capital.

Paid legal advice
If you are not eligible for legal aid, Advocatenkantoor mr T.O. Sohansingh will still assist you further. For the initial interview of a maximum of 30 minutes, we do not charge a fee.
Because we want 'legal help' to be accessible for as many people as possible, we have an hourly rate of € 200,- (ex 5% office costs and 21% VAT) after the initial interview, which is negotiable depending on your situation. We perform a thorough initial assessment to determine the hours your case will require. Unless different terms have been agreed, we will send you a monthly bill for the hours spent on your case and the owed amount. This will help determine where you are at, so you will not be suddenly confronted with a large bill. If the lawyer suspects that your case will involve more time than expected, he will notify you straight away.
